According to sources at Botcon, the Hasbro Transformers Collector's Club will be telling the story of the Transformers Classics via their newsletter in the form of a mini-comic. The story will be based around Generation 1 characters in a pre-movie continuity. How they will accomplish this is yet to be seen, but either way there will be some sort of official background story to this line of toys.
